When it comes to finding good thriller movies on Netflix then it is a little easier than the other genres. I do not know why but this was the easiest list to create of them all. Perhaps that is also why 4 of these thriller movies can be found on the list of Best Netflix Movies of all time (that is still available for streaming). Below is my opinion of the absolute best thrillers on Netflix Instant Watch:
Shutter Island: Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese. Do I need to say more? If I do then I recommend reading my post about Best Netflix Movies where I have listed my all time ten best Netflix movies. Shutter Island is number two on that list.
Memento: Another movie from the above mentioned list. It is placed as number 3. Guy Pearce plays the lead role and does it very well. Christopher Nolan did a great job with both the screenwriting and directing.
The Game: Yet another thriller movie that has made it to the above mentioned top ten list at number 4. Sean Penn and Michael Douglas both show their acting skills in this suspense thriller by David Fincher.
Limitless: Last thriller that is on the Top Ten list of best Netflix movies is Limitless. Good acting and a great script is what makes a thriller good and this can be said for Limitless. Robert DeNiro always acts well but it is Bradley Cooper who really shows his versatile acting skill in this movie.
The Constant Gardener: Oscar winning movie starring Ralph Fiennes and the lovely Rachel Weisz. Ralph Fiennes gives the performance of his career as a grieving husband searching for answers regarding his wife.
The Lincoln Lawyer: As previously mentioned, a new Netflix release but nevertheless a good movie that keeps your attention focused on the TV. Matthew McConaughey, Marisa Tomei, Ryan Philippe and William H. Macy make up the main cast.
Sneakers: One of best movies Robert Redford has starred in. Great cast and some very exiting twist in the story. A well written script that keeps you glued to the screen.
Insomnia: An exciting thriller directed by the super talented director; Christopher Nolan. The main cast is Al Pacino and Robin Williams and they both play their role just incredible.
The Hunt for Red October: A Tom Clancy movie starring Sean Connery and Alec Baldwin, you are guaranteed to be glued to the TV. One of those movies where you cannot wait to see what happens next as time is running out.
Primal Fear: A good old fashioned thriller with a modern twist, Richard Gere plays a lawyer who is defending an altar boy played by Edward Norton who delivers the best performance of his career.
